The Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) has confirmed that it would host the 20th Anniversary Symposium Health Walk & Networking event in honour of ace broadcast journalist Yaw Ampofo Ankrah.

The former Joy fm, TV3, Metro and BBC Sports presenter is marking two decades of practice in sports journalism locally and globally.

The Students Representative Council at Ghana’s most distinguished communications institution, has invited Ampofo Ankrah to share his experiences at a symposium on Friday the 23rd of February 2018.

The platform will afford students and invited guests from other institutions the opportunity to interact with the much-travelled broadcast journalist.

It has also been confirmed that Ampofo-Ankrah will lead students in a health- fitness walk and aerobics the following day Saturday 24th February from the GIJ campus.

The former Atlantis radio presenter is also the President of the Ghana Beach Soccer Association which coincidentally marks 10 years since its official introduction to Ghana as an association sport.

There would be a photo/video exhibition of some major tournaments and sporting events he's covered over the years.

Some of the special guests expected to attend include household names and faces in Ghana broadcasting such as Emma Morrison, Randy Abbey, Ibrahim Sannie Daraa and Kojo Frimpong.

Media Coordinator for the event, Maame Adwoa Caan told Ghanaweb that the campuses tour with Yaw Ampofo Ankrah would see the broadcast journalist speaking at other academic and corporate institutions.

The venues and dates would be communicated in due course.
