I’ve banned Nigerian music in Ghana – Shatta Wale

Multiple award winning Ghanaian dancehall musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah known in showbiz as Shatta Wale says Nigerian music has been banned in Ghana.

The ‘Ayoo’ hit maker made this remarks as he was being unveiled as brand ambassador for Storm Energy Drink, a new product of Ghana’s top beverage producing company, Kasapreko Company Limited.

The unveiling ceremony which was held in a charged atmosphere at the Achimota Retail Centre saw thousands of fans of the ‘Kakai’ hit maker trooping the venue just to catch a glimpse of their ‘superstar’ as well as get selfie opportunities with him.

Samples of the Storm Energy Drink were made available for the excitedly charged fans to gulp down their worn-out throats following hours shouting ‘Wale,’ ‘Wale,’ ‘Wale.’

In a short speech to announce the partnership, the Managing Director of Kasapreko Company Limited, Richard Adjei said Shatta Wale was selected as the brand ambassador for the Storm energy drink because he embodied key attributes of the Energy Drink – innovation and creativity, authenticity, passion, energetic, originality and determination.

On his part, Shatta Wale declared that he had always been looking forward to working with great Ghanaian companies like Kasapreko.
