Dancehall king Shatta Wale tops trending tweets for the day

For the past few days, it has been the Ghana and Nigeria beef on social media sparked by a statement made by Ghana's Dancehall King Shatta Wale during an interview.

According to him, Nigerian artiste Wizkid is no superstar, and he (Shatta Wale) does not see any extraordinary features about him although he claims to be the best African artiste

I will not see Wizkid and be stunned, I rather want him to see me and be amazed because I don’t see anything extraordinary about him, even though he claims to the best African artiste"....Shatta Wale said.

His statement got lots of Nigerian furious which resulted in them raining heavy insults on him.

However, the beef seem to have had a positive impact on the Dancehall King, after he earlier signed a deal with beef company and currently tops trending tweets chart for the today.

From the screenshot, Shatta Wale tops the trending tweets chart with over 43,000 tweets, and he's followed in second place by #rythmzlive, with #Nigerians and #Sarkodie in fifth and sixth place respectively.
