Girl Talk invades Nigeria to surprise Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa

Nigerian author, radio and television personality-Toke Makinwa turned 33 years on November 3 and Girl Talk made a grand debut in Nigeria, to celebrate with the star and surprise her with a birthday she will forever remember.

The Girl Talk Ghana team flew into Nigeria ahead of the launch of Girl Talk Nigeria and presented Toke with strata of surprises; including delivering an all-expenses-paid posh Limousine for her to use for the whole of her birthday, a presentation of a delicious cake and a bottle of champagne.

But none of these was the biggest surprise of the day: Girl Talk flew Toke’s favourite musician, Efya, into Nigeria to attend the media personality’s special birthday party and to sing “Happy Birthday” to the delight of the birthday girl and those who had gathered to celebrate the day with her.

The Girl Talk brand, a women empowerment, and celebration initiative has for several months been celebrating randomly selected worthy women in Ghana on their birthdays—and now, the brand is set to launch Girl Talk Nigeria.
