Arts and entertainment critic, Prince Tsegah has mounted defense for host of the Delay Show, Deloris Frimpong Manso following an accusation by gospel musician, Joyce blessing that the television personality edited an interview they had with the intention of harming her personality.

Joyce Blessing in an interview with Delay dispelled assertions that her former manager, Kwesi Ernest of Media Excel, was the one that brought her into the limelight.

Her comment attracted criticisms by some people who asserted that her posture on the show reeked of ingratitude and arrogance, abrantepa.com observed.

In reaction, Joyce told Dave Hammer of Hello FM that the interview she had on the Delay Show was edited to make her look bad.

“Delay wants the downfall of artistes. She edited my interview to disgrace me. That was not a complete interview. There was a fight within the interview so I even said I wouldn’t do the interview again. She assaulted my husband verbally. Everyone should be careful about Delay. She wants people’s downfall to be popular,” she said.

Making a submission on the issue on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz, Prince Tsegah said Delay, just like any other editor, has the right to edit her works.

“People will still go despite the caution. Some people are interested in the mileage. Unfortunately, Joyce is not interested in the mileage but other people are. Shatta Wale, Asamoah Gyan enjoyed the mileage. For me, people who are ready to be talked about will go there.

“An editor has the right to choose what he/she wants to project. The editorial policy is directed by the editor. So if he [the editor] feels the negative side should be talked about instead of the positive, that’s it,” he said.

Meanwhile, artiste manager, Mel Kwesi Davis has expressed disappointment in Zylofon Media, the label Joyce Blessing is signed unto for its ‘loud silence’ on the matter.

As reported by Abrantepa.com earlier, Mel questioned why the label has not released a statement on the matter.
