A report by a Ghanaian tabloid has it Sarkodie's fashion line "Sark Collections" is looking forward to shutting down operations after almost 5 years of operation.

The website, GhanaCelebrities.com reported that due to low sales and looming debts, the flagship outlet of the celebrity fashion line in Dzorwulu will cease operations in the weeks to come.

In 2013, Sarkodie, riding off his growing fanbase at the time, partnered with fashion entrepreneur, YAS to launch the fashion line, Sark Collections.

The initial collection, launched at the Aphrodisiac Night Club, consisted of t-shirts, sweat pants, jumpers, sneakers, baseball caps, belts which were holding bearing Sarkodie’s face, logo or both.

For a while, the rapper consistently wore outfits from the brand he inspired, perhaps in a bid to drive sales.

But according to the GhanaCelebrities.com report, all is not well with the Sark brand as they Dzorwulu store, which is the premier and only outlet of the line, is currently running a 50-90% discount sales on items.

The report inferred that the discount sales is because YAS wants to make some money to defray massive losses made running the brand and finally close down operations.

The Sark Collections line was highly criticised by Ghanaians for selling items at rather exorbitant prices.
