I’ll take money before granting interviews – Shatta Wale

Shatta Wale Shatta Wale

Dancehall act Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr. known in showbiz circles as Shatta Wale has taken a swipe at the media, saying he will henceforth limit and charge for all interviews.

The ‘Ayoo’ hitmaker angrily posted on his Social Media handles to express his disgust about how other Television and radio stations had twisted his recent interview with GHOne TV’s ‘The Pundit’.

Although the award winning dancehall artiste did not state which portions of his media interview were misconstrued, it is somewhat clear he might be referring to the reports of his apology to Ghana Music Awards Organisers, Charterhouse for him to be reinstated on the scheme.

“Will not grant any interview to any TV or Radio station unless they ready to pay me cash if all they’ll do is end up twisting stories….After all none never helped in my rise..DJ Lord dash and DJ Mctontoh were my only street DJ’s who helped..”

He told George Quaye on ThePundits on GhOneTV, he wants to clear all hurdles with CharterHouse, organizer of the awards scheme.

Some three years ago, Wale decided to boycott the show and warned the organizers against nominating him in any category.
