I’m not into music to please people but to project the goodness of Christ – Gifty Osei

Gospel musician Gifty Osei has said her goal as a singer is to preach the good news which centres on Christ’s life and exemplary living through music.

Empress, who has been severely ridiculed recently by a section of the public on how she conducts herself as Gospel artiste, has replied her critics.

“I’ve contributed to the music industry with songs which have won the hearts of many people. One thing that I have learnt in life is that, when you do things to please people, you lose your creativity” she said.

The one time VGMAs award winning gospel artiste noted she was not in competition with anyone. “I’m waiting on the Lord to find soul-winning lyrics for my songs”.

Speaking about her album, Gifty Osei told The Spectator Agoro, she releases albums every three years and her next album will coincide with the 10th anniversary of her music career.

She launched her maiden album ‘Aseda’ in 2007 followed by ‘Fefeefe’ in 2010 and ‘Adansedie’ in 2014.

According to the ‘Fefeefe’ hitmaker, she is certainly not perturbed by what people say about her music career and her lifestyle because they are entitled to their opinion.
