Police Officer cum gospel musician, Supt. Kofi Sarpong, has revealed that performing on stage will not hinder him from performing his duty as a police officer.

Addressing the media at the launch of his debut concert in Accra yesterday, he said, “If I’m on stage and a crime is being committed, I will drop the microphone and perform my duty as a police officer to arrest the culprit.”

According to the ‘king of African borborbor’, his concert dubbed ‘SP Kofi Sarpong Live in Concert, a Night of Favour,’ will take place on Sunday, May 28, 2017, at the National Theatre in Accra.

The Ghanaian artistes to grace the stage are, Nacee, Ohemaa Mercy, Uncle Ato, Obaapa Christie, Gifty Osei, Cecy Twum, Joyce Blessing, Abena Ruthy, Kingskid and Francis Amo.

The concert is aimed at raising funds to register 5000 under privileged persons across the country into the National Health Insurance Scheme.
