Northern Entertainment Awards set for April 1st, 2017

The second edition of Northern Entertainment Awards is set to come off on April 1st, 2017.

The award scheme which honours and rewards deserving Northerners both at home and abroad for their impressive contribution towards the art industry, will again this year take time to celebrate these men and women

Mr Abdul Latif Alhassan, Board Chairman for the Northern Entertainment Awards and Chief Operations Officer at Smile Multimedia Agency organizers of the awards has called on all Ghanaians, especially those with northern descent based home and in the diaspora to support this great initiative of recognizing and honoring distinguished personalities in the entertainment industry.

Last year Fatima Adamu was awarded with the Special Recognition Award at NEA for promoting Ghanaian culture in the diaspora. She has over a decade been promoting Ghanaian culture in Germany through the Ghana Carnival initiative.

The event will be taking place at the Radarch Hotel, Tamale and it promises fun and excitement.

According to the organizers, NEA will go along way to bring development and correct wrong perception about the region thought the scheme.

The 2017 edition has had support from the Ghana Tourism Authority, MUSIGA and the Ghana Carnival Group in Berlin.
