A victory song that was meant to be a celebrating song for John Dramani Mahama, the current sitting president of Ghana has rather been a taunting one in this year’s election.

On the 7th November, 2016 Ghanaians eligible to vote exercised their franchise in several post place across the country in 275 constituencies. Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo was declared the winner of the presidential election and has led to a trending song — ‘Onaapo’.

‘Onaapo’ is a Ga word. It is generally spoken by the Ga people who are historically tipped to have originated from “Olef3” – currently a community in Nigeria.

‘Onaapo’ to wit “You will not be in a position to attain” something has been trending alongside the music that was composed for John Mahama.

A Video has surface on the internet of a family at a wedding reception dancing uncontrollable to the then lovable music which has become a taunting one.
