Wizkid wins Best African Act at MTV Europe Music Awards 2016

Nigerian musician Wizkid will just not stop at winning. The musician who has for the past year released just a single hit song has been adjudged the Best African Act at the MTV EMAs 2016.

The announcement came few hours before the main awards show which is to be held in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

The One Dance hit maker beat stiff competition from South Africa’s Cassper Nyovest, Tanzania’s Alikiba, fellow countryman Olamide and Best International Act, Africa winner at the BET Awards 2016 Black Coffee.

Wizkid takes over from Tanzanian Diamond Platnumz who picked up the award in 2015.

So far this year, Wizkid has been dominant on several world charts and basking several awards worldwide.
