Bisa Kdei is not a Highlife artiste – Panji

Panji Anoff, boss of Pidgin Music has stated that “Mansa” hitmaker, Bisa Kdei is not a highlife artiste.

The artistic director in an interview with MzGee on Joy News said the singer and record producer is a hiplife artiste.

He opined that current 'Hiplifers' mostly sing like highlife musicians. Panji continued that he classifies the artiste known in real life as Ronald Kweku Dei as hiplife artiste because of how he carries himself in the field of music.

“Some people ask me if Bisa kdei is a highlife artiste and I tell them no. To me he is a hiplife musician.

It is just that the hiplife musicians are now using more highlife. To me, Bisa Kdei belongs to the modern category. His attitude, his approach in making music has much more in common with the hiplife musicians than it does with C.K Man or Onyina but the music that he is choosing to express himself owes a lot of highlife.” Panji told MzGee.
