I won't 'bleach' to get movie roles - Actress

Actress Akua Serwaa Actress Akua Serwaa

Fast rising Kumawood Actress Akua Serwaa, who is gradually winning the hearts of people because of her prolific acting skills says she will never bleach her skin to get movie roles.

Speaking exclusively to Ghanaflow.net,the pretty dark and lovely actress who played the role of a blind girl in the hit movie “Kume Preko” says most of the upcoming actresses bleach their skins hoping to get more movie roles because they believe fair ladies are always selected by some movie directors ahead of dark ones.

“Some of my colleagues think when you are fair, you can easily get the best roles so they bleach their skins and eventually get skin problems.I believe in talent, it doesn’t matter if you are dark or fair, if you are really talented your talent will take you to places. Jackie Appiah, Ama K Abebrese, Emelia Brobbey, Genevieve Nnaji never bleached their skins but they reached the highest point of their acting career. Nana Ama McBrown,Vivian Jill,Nadia Buari never bleached their skins, that’s their natural skin colour, their talent took them to the top.

It will be wrong to bleach your skin to try look like these stars because you want to reach where they have reached. It’s better to bleach your talent to get more roles than to bleach your skin for movie roles “- Akua Serwaa advised fellow actresses.
