Kobina Amissah-Sam who played the role of Agu’s father in the movie “Beasts Of No Nation” has said goodbye to his job to be a full time moviemaker.

Amissah-Sam in a chat with Hitz FM presenter, Mzgee disclosed that he was a professional graphic designer before he had the opportunity to act in his second movie, “Beasts Of No Nation”.

According to him, he had to terminate his contract with a media house to allow him concentrate on his acting career.

“I was with a newspaper firm but there was a little controversy because I went to shoot the movie.”

The actor further added “I don’t want to work with any company anymore because now I want to take the acting full time. I don’t want a situation whereby when I get a production, then I will have to be going for permission. I just want to be on my own now. I’m trying to start my small production. I’m currently working on producing my short movie”.

When Mzgee asked the amount producers of “Beasts Of No Nation” paid him for his role, the old boy of Mfantsipim Senior High School answered that it was between 1500 and 3000 but did not state the currency.
