FIPAG lauds Amakye & Dede movie

The movie of the moment, Amakye & Dede, which has set record as the most attended movie premiere ever at Silverbirds Cinema at Accra Mall and West Hills Mall, has received commendation from the Film Producers Association of Ghana, FIPAG. Michael Kwaku Ola, PRO for the association in an interview with Abrantepa on Radio Univers’ Brunch 2 Lunch entertainment show praised producers of the movie for employing the services of English and Kumawood actors.

“When Kofas produced Amakye & Dede, we have all seen how successful the movie has become. If you watch the movie, they spoke in Twi and English. We all realised how people enjoyed the movie when we went for the premiere.”

Ola continued that, Kofas Media, producers of the movie after the movie’s major premiere in the nation’s capital has visited other regions with the movie which is good for the industry.

Amakye & Dede produced by Kofas Media features renowned Ghanaian actors like Majid Michel, John Dumelo, Kalybos, AHuofe Patricia, Roselyn Ngissah, Emelia Brobbey, Yaw Dabo, Apostle John Prah, Grace Nortey, Moesha Boudang and many others.

Budget for the comedy movie, “Amakye & Dede” is estimated to be $26,000.
