Ghana-based Gambian actress Princess Shyngle known popularly for her hourglass body shape, most of the times alluded her shape to waist training instead of hip pads.

On March 11, 2016, the ‘Why Should I Get Married’ actress revealed on her Instagram page that she’s suffering from kidney related diseases.

“Hospital bound…. Kidney disease healing mercies oh Lord need your prayers ya’ll", she informed her fans.

It is not known if the actress is now bearing the side effects of the prolonged use of the waist trainers.

However, around November 2015, a report in the Weekend Finder by Dr James Boachie, a specialist Gynaecologist at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital stated that forcing the ribs and muscles into a tight and restrictive garment can cause chronic pain and bruising.

He added that “constricting the midsection of the body could potentially harm some internal organs that reside in that region”.

Another report by a British doctor as reported on dailymail.co.uk website, Dr Galyna Selezneva, an aesthetic medical doctor who works at a London-based cosmetic surgery, also stated the side effects with waist training, including changes to the ribs, bone structure and inner organ positions.

Dailymail.co.uk quotes the Dr Galyna as saying “'If someone gets addicted to wearing a waist trainer day after day the inner organs will shift. There will be a dis-balance in the cavity as it is not normal to have such as small waist. There can also be changes to the ribs and bone structures. Obviously if you are wearing them repeatedly, you are not exercising the muscles so they are also wasting.'

The report further explained that kidney disease can cover a variety of illness including kidney stones, which would not be down to waist trainers.

Currently, we are not in the known of the cause of her disease, but what do you also think? Let’s know in comments.
