History was made at the Independence Square in Accra, Ghana on Saturday, November 21, 2015, as world class performers and the pride of African music including Grammy Award winning singer Angelique Kidjo, Grammy award nominee Youssour Ndour, BET Award winners Sarkodie, and Stonebwoy thrilled thousands of patrons at the Mo Ibrahim Free Concert.

Performing all the greatest hits one could ever ask for, Angelique Kidjo delivered a memorable 45 minutes live performance with her band. A band made of professionals from different parts of the world.

Deploying an impeccable craft that got the crowd singing along and dancing to her tunes, the Grammy Award-winning singer dedicated one of her songs to all victims of terror attacks worldwide.

She also emphasized the fact that music remains a powerful tool to sell the African continent.

“We have the power to transform what the world thinks about our continent through music”, she said.

Youssour Ndour, Stonebwoy and Sarkodie were also a delight to watch on the night.

Opening acts for the night included Ohemma Dadaw and Kankam.

YFM Ghana’s DJ Mic Smith and Eddy Blay coordinated the memorable show as DJ and MC respectively.

The show was powered by Mo Ibrahim Foundation and Global Media Alliance (mother company of YFM Ghana, Etv Ghana).
