Reggae music carries me on – Anas reveals

Celebrated investigative Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has revealed that reggae music is what urges him on.

“I won’t die for music but my pieces of reggae would carry me on… comfortably I can do Gramps Morgan,” Anas told Bola Ray, host of Starr Chat, Wednesday.

Anas, who is known for his numerous investigative works, also revealed that he hates football and has no passion at all for the game loved by many.

Anas’ latest two-year investigative piece on perceived corruption in Ghana’s judiciary, has implicated over 30 judges and magistrates, as well as judicial service staff.

His previous works, some of which exposed private companies and government agencies in corruption, thievery and embezzlement, have also earned him a lot of enemies.

The 'Tuo Zaafi' (A Ghanaian dish) loving journalist also revealed to Bola Ray that he was nicknamed invisible during his secondary school days at the Christian Methodist Senior High School.

“Interestingly they used to call me invisible, I don’t know how that name came up but that is what they called me… I would swim on a normal day and if I have the time I would like to play the cards and also read investigative novels.”
