Chelsea FC pays me to support them - Sarkodie

Award winning artiste Sarkodie known in real life as Michael Owusu Addo has disclosed that he gets paid for supporting UK-based Chelsea Football Club.

“I like Chelsea because they give me money to support them”, he said.

The rapper who was speaking in an interview with Dr Pounds on the Hitz Gallery show on Hitz Fm said the club contacted him to sign a contract which he accepted.

According to him, the deal was accepted because he believed it was going to be a better deal for his brand. It ends in 2016.

“The contract will be ending next year but we are hoping to renew it”, he added.

Chelsea Football Club popularly known as ‘The Blues’ is a professional football club based in Fulham, London.
