Most people know her for her roles in vintage Kwaw Ansah’s Love Brewed In The African Pot and Heritage Africa, as well as- in recent times- as one of the major characters in Shirley Frimpong Manso’s Adams Apple series.

But little do they know that Anima’s first love is the theatre. She is a seasoned playwright whose plays have won the BBC African performance competition a number of times. And in 2004, she served as a judge for the competition.

Anima Misa Amoah is co-directing the first play in the ‘Heritage Theatre Series’, Wogb? j?k?: The Birth Of A Nation, with Abdul Karim Hakib, a lecturer at The School of Performing Arts, UG .

She comes to the production with years of experience and great excitement. Wogb? J?k?: The Birth Of A Nation, is a theatrical spectacle that relies on dance, music, poetry and drama to capture the transition of Ghana from ancient times to 1957.

The play, written and produced by Chief Moomen, and sponsored by Key Soap, is set for the 4th and 5th of July, 2015 at the National Theatre. 4pm and 8pm each day.

Rehearsals are currently ongoing and the producers are confident that they would stage what would be an exciting and epic performance.
