Abrekyieba Kofi Sammy: “Sarkodie is good but Shatta Wale…”

Known for hit songs (Yello Sisi,Makoma,To wo bo Ase na Afideie wura beba) etc, Legend highlife musician Abrekyieba Kofi Sammy who turned 74 this year, in an interview with Don Twix & Da One Charles of Angel Entertainment Tv advised current and upcoming artistes to use live band for their musical performances.

“I dont hear what they say, I mean the current musicians, they need to perform with a live band,” Kofi Sammy

When asked about two artistes with massive following lately, BET Award winner Sarkodie and former VGMAS Artiste of the year Shatta Wale, this is what the Legend said:

“Sarkodie has words, he is very good but I’m expecting him to record and also perform with a Live band; he is good and I know he can do it but Shatta isn’t that good, he is just being promoted by a particular society,when that society meet, they dance to his songs”.

Abrekyieba Kofi Sammy confirmed to Ghanaflow.net that he receives Royalties from Nigeria because his hit song “Yello Sisi” still receives airplay in Nigeria.

He urged current musicians to make music that can last long.
