Ambolley, Amandzeba To Perform @ Agonaman Achievers Awards

Two seasoned Ghanaian musicians, Nana Gyedu Blay-Ambolley and Amandzeba Nat Brew, have been invited to perform at the maiden edition of the Agonaman Achievers Awards slated for May 23 at the El-Capitano Rural Resort at Agona Duakwa, near Agona Swedru in the Central Region.

The event, according to the organisers, which is under the theme: ‘Satisfaction in Productivity, the Greatest Reward of Every Patriotic Citizen’ is being organised to reward natives of Agona community who have contributed towards the development of Agonaman.

Mr George William Dickson, Executive Director of Rhythms of African Music Foundation and the brain behind the awards, said some of the awardees are those who have excelled in their areas of work in education, sports, entrepreneurship, developmental projects, health, governance, social interventional works, security, entertainment among others.

He disclosed that some of the personalities to be honoured at the event include Dan Kweku Yeboah of Peace FM, Dr Kwesi Anning of Kofi Annan International Peace Centre, Kwabena Adisi, (Bola Ray), Nana Bright Oduro Kwarteng, Chief Director, Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Queenster Maame Pokua Sawyeer, MP for Agona East and Deputy Central Regional Minister and Charles Obeng Nkum.

Others are Edwin Arthur, Dean of Parliamentary Press Corps, Prof Kwesi Yankah, President of Central University College, Coach Osam Duodu, Willie Brown, H.E Kwesi Ahwoi, Joe Aggrey, Super O.D, Nyakrom Rural Bank, Swedru School of Business (SWESBU), Swedru Senior High School (SWESCO), Prof Martin Owusu, Kwayanko Brass Band, P.K. Yamoah and a host of others.

The Central Regional Minister, Hon Thomas Acquinas Quansah, will be the guest of honour to grace the occasion.
