Film Producers ask Agya Koo to cancel Press Conference

Popular Ghanaian actor Alexander kofi Adu (Agya Koo), announced plans of holding a press conference to address matters concerning his recent frosty relationship with movie producers in the country, especially those based in Kumasi but officials of the Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG), have called on him to cancel it.

Agya Koo, who has accused movie producers of blacklisting him from acting in their movies, has told Razz Newspaper that, plans are underway for the press conference to be held on Friday, 10th October 2014.

In an interview with the Chairman of the Communication team of the actor, Mr. Isaac Rockson, he told Razz Newspaper Reporter Mustapha Inusah that; since the press conference is directly targeted at addressing some of the allegations made by some film producers, they are making efforts to invite the Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG), Film Directors and Marketers.

“We Have Unofficially invited FIPAG to the press conference and we are yet to send them the official invite” he said.

Speaking to the public relation officer of the film producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG), Michael Ola, he stated that, they have not been informed about any press conference , so he can't confirm if they will attend or not.

He explained that the Association already has plans of setting the differences between the actor and the producers.

"We have film makers conference on 12th and 13th October 2014 and we have plans of inviting Agya Koo and Miracle Films to see how best we can resolve the issue, so, I think his press conference is not necessary " The PRO Said.

He hinted that the issue can be best addressed and resolved at the 2-Days conference to be organized by FIPAG.
