2nd Annual Children’s Art festival comes off at Efua Sutherland Park

On August 21- 22, 2014, the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park in Accra
will host thousands of children and their parents for the 2nd Annual
Children’s Art Festival aimed at inspiring creativity among children
and encouraging parents to appreciate art.
The event is a partnership between Devio Children’s Arts Centre, Reach
for Change and Tigo GhanaLlimited.
Both children and their parents will learn and have fun while tapping
into their creative minds. The park will be completely transformed
into a visual art and applied art zones to enable participants
learncalligraphy, drawing,painting, recyclingand sculpting, just to
mention a few.
Founder and award winning Tigo Change leader, Lily Kudzro, is
encouraging parents to show interest in the creative side of their
children. She wants child friendly art recreation centres to be created
across the country to encourage children to tap into their creative
side.
Other sponsors for the event include the Prudential Bank, National
Investment Bank,Department of Children (Ministry of Children, Gender
and Social Protection), Kalyppo, Street Library Ghana,andViasat1and
Next Door Beach.Resort. Other pParticipants include the Google
Developer Groupand Agripro Ghana.and Alive and Kicking Ghana.

children’s art centre based in Ghana. The Centre is committed to
addressing the gap in children’s creativity, by providing recreation
activities which enable them to learn and developtheir creative minds.
