Maria Nepembe nick named Riah, a former house mate of Big Brother Africa 2013, now hosts GLAM TV. The 24 year old fun, cheerful petite Namibian lady stepped into fame shortly after her exit from the big brother house.
She was born in a town called Ondangwa, who soon after age 8, moved to Windhoek. Miss Nepembe lost her dad when she was eight years old, and now lives with her mother and step father.
She is now a model, actress, Mcee, Radio presenter and humanitarian. She also features in popular Namibian movies and is well known for acting in a number of local music videos, where she worked with artists such as The Dogg and PDK.
As she brings her expertise to bear, Maria promises viewers that, GLAM TV will never be a dull moment in television viewing as it premiers at 4pm on Sunday 19th January 2013 on GhOne TV.
GLAM TV is a fashion and style program that dives deeply into fashion and style ranging from clothes to hair, accessories, shoes, bags and everything fashion.
The Show will involve personalities cutting across areas such as music, movie, politics etc. GLAM TV will also explore into the closets of personalities and find out about their fashion styles and what they wear on a normal day or at special occasions.
GLAM TV will also give free advice and tips on fashion and life style from seasoned fashion designers, makeup artistes and hair stylist.
In 2011, Maria participated in Miss University Africa, that was held in Bayelsa State, Nigeria, where She where she got the 1st runner up spot. She also took part in Miss Namibia 2012 where she made it to the top 5. Maria hosted the Namibian music awards in April 2013 which she describes as the best moment of her career.
She is currently involved in charity work and campaign called, ‘for the cause’ which creates awareness for cancer, women empowerment.
She is currently studying towards a degree at the University of Namibia where she also recently completed a National Diploma in Public Relations.
