Miss Ghana 2013, Giuseppina Baafi spends Christmas at Countryside Orphanage

Christmas day with the Countryside Orphanage at Awutu-Bawjiase in the Central Region. It was her second visit in months, after donating food items worth thousands of cedi on her birthday earlier this year.

And to make good her promise of going back, she chose Christmas day to spend it with the adorable children of the facility.

Miss Baafi and a team from the Miss Ghana Foundation, led by Inna Maryam Patty donated several items, as well as presented a cheque to the facility.

The team spent a greater part of the day with the children, serving them with a healthy meal, after which they engaged them in a counseling session.

Authorities at the establishment couldn’t hide their excitement at the gesture, and were full of praise for the queen whom they said, “is a living example of a selfless young lady’.”

“Christmas for me, stands for a season of giving, and I thought what better way to mark it than to come here and spend the day with you,” she said.

The donation according to Miss Patty was a continued process of the group’s resolve, to use the platform the Miss Ghana brand offers, to affect lives, positively.

“We are not going to stop showing love to the needy. This is an act of good measure we feel we should continue year after year.”

“The Countryside Orphanage is just one of the many establishments who have been benefited from the activities of the Foundation; some more stand to benefit in the near future.”

The Miss Ghana Foundation is the charity arm of the Miss Ghana pageant.
