D-Black signs Book of Condolence for Late President Nelson Mandela

Popular Ghanaian rapper, D-Black yesterday joined high profile political figures to sign a book of condolence to honour the memory of the late South African President and freedom fighter, Nelson Mandela.

Mandela, who is popularly called Madiba died at age 95 on December 5, after “a long walk to freedom.”

Official funeral activities for his burial on Sunday started yesterday December 10 at the FNB Stadium in Soweto, where USA President Obama said, “Madiba makes me want to be a better person.”

Thousands of South Africans and visitors from around the world attended the funeral yesterday, with many others signing the book of condolences opened at various South African embassies around the world.

In Ghana, the book of condolence was also opened at the South African Ambassador, Janet Ndlovu’s residence in Accra.

D-Black signed the book after Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur, the vice president of Ghana, and John Agyekum Kufuor, ex-president of Ghana, had signed theirs.
