Abladzo Kwame bounces back with ‘Street Boy’

Ewe rap sensation, Abladzo Kwame, after a long hiatus, is back on the airwaves with the release of a brand new single, ‘Street Boy’.

He calls it ‘Street Boy’ simply because the song is about street life. “Basically it’s about a boy who was born and grew up on the street and still working hard to make it out on the street without any illegal means. This song is a street anthem for the street children.”

Abladzo Kwame added that the song is inspired by his own upbringing which was very tough for his single parenting mother and he is still working hard to make it in the industry. “Every day I work hard to make ends meet and my belief in God is still strong.”

Featuring Edi Young, a Nigerian with Skillions Records and Shizaru, a lady Nigerian, the six-minute piece was mixed and produced by EddyKayBeats.

Touching on why he has been away for some time, Abladzo Kwame noted that he went underground to correct the mistakes of the past and re-brand himself and his music.

“I have been away for a while and whiles out there I have been working undercover and re-branding myself and the kind of music I put out.

“Sometimes things don’t go the way you want them to so I examined my life and I realised my short comes and mistakes so I corrected them and I think it’s time to let the world see the hidden treasure I have been keeping away.”

The 22 year old whose real name is Klu Frank is based in Adenta and is gradually making his way up to becoming one of the biggest artistes on the continent and beyond.

With two mixtapes - Amenuveve and Lyrical Plantation - Abladzo Kwame said he can do other genres including Hip Life, Afro Pop, Reggae and Agbadza. He is currently working on his maiden album named Regular Street Boy.
