Celebrity Birthday: Today is KKD’s birthday!

Today Wednesday, December 19, 2012, is the birthday of broadcaster, and anchor Kwesi Kyei Darkwah otherwise known as Da Finest.

A proud Ghanaian son, KKD is one of the pioneers of private radio, becoming Director of programmes and Marketing at Choice, then known as Sunshine Radio. He is said to have discovered the likes of Kwame ‘Swift’ Faakye, Jon Germain, Eddie Blay, Kofi Okyere Darko, and Fiifi Pratt among a tall list of media personalities, who are now doing well in their respective endeavours.

He is the Chief Executive Officer of The Finest Production, a corporate communications and marketing firm, which also focuses on film, television, arts and management.

He posted this on the social media site Facebook, on Wednesday December 19. “Today 19th December is my birthday I thank thee Lord for your gracious display Of love and suffering for me a hopeless sinner A rather bad boy grown up to be a father I thank thee God for the joy you’ve brought me Through days and nights of doubt and anxiety I look back on seasons when I felt unstable And how through your strength I felt capable Your gift of words, parenting and creativity Your provision for me & all my friends & family I praise and thank you for my father and mother I pray you bless them with your grace forever I pray for mine & everyone’s son & daughter That you grant them health, wisdom, wealth and laughter I pray for peace and love for my friends and detractors too And pray for my sins to be forgiven This for sure I hold you to As I remind you Lord of the covenant of the blood of Jesus That if we believe and repent you’ll deliver us What more may I ask for God has been so good All the days of my life to me and my brood For the blessings and lessons, the highs and lows Thank you Father in Heaven, my cup overflows” – HRB KKD
