Going solo has been fruitful – Wutah Kobby

Hiplife artiste Wutah Kobby has said contrary to speculations that his split from music duo, Wutah, is having a heavy toll on his musical career; rather, life has been smooth for him.

The duo, made up of Daniel Morris (Risky or Wutah Kobby) and Frank Osei (Papa Virus or PV), parted ways in 2010 after working together for about five years. They have since been working on their individual projects.

Speaking in an interview with Doreen Avio of Hitz Entertainment News, Wutah Kobby said, “I am being blessed ever since I took this mantle to go my solo career.”

He re-launched his brand, Wutah Kobby two months ago and he is now set to release his maiden album, Selfless Bliss, at the Gold Coast Bar in London on October 7.

Wutah Kobby explained that the launch in London has “been something that I have been planning for a while now and the timing is right and it is just not going to be in London actually when I come back to Ghana, I am going to have one as well.”

The 15-track Selfless Bliss album features several renowned acts including Kwabena Kwabena, Tinny, Castro and Reggie Zippy.

Wutah Kobby is currently in London with artistes, Stonebwoy, Iwan and Reggie Zippy for the launch and he is also hopeful of a possible collaboration with them soon.
