Miss Western Region

A 20-year old former student of Saint Mary's Secondary School, Miss Shaida Buari was on Saturday crowned Miss Western Region 2002. She took home 500,000 cedis while Dove Luguchegi, 21, also a student, took away 450,000 cedis cash for being the first runner-up.

In the dance category, Eric Dadzie, 20, emerged the Regional Dance Champion while Ernest Ahun, 22, a sports wear dealer, emerged second. They took home 500,000 cedis and 250,000 cedis, respectively.

A 19-year old musician, Carl Louis Owusu won the hiplife talent contest and was presented with 500,000 cedis. George Aikins, a 23-year old student, took 250,000 cedis for placing second.
