Hollywood brothers, Kwesi Boakye and Kofi Siriboe rip the runway for charity!

Hollywood brothers/actors Kofi Siriboe and Kwesi Boakye took their time out to offer their talents and ripped the runway for the special reception and fashion show held recently at the Century City Bloomingdale’s.

The ‘Shopping Works Wonders’ event was in celebration of the organization’s progress and a charity event to benefit the Jenesee Center. Halle Berry is the Celebrity spokesperson for this unique cause which is meant to assist with Domestic Violence awareness, intervention and empowerment. One of the brother’s favorite mantras to follow is that of Mohatma Ghandi to “be the change you want to see in the world”. They were very verbal in saying that their parents taught them at a young age to always respect women. They felt like being a part of this event would hopefully highlight this issue to other young people.

Actress Kimberly Elise hosted the Celebrity Fashion Show, style guru Mikki Taylor, held a book signing for her latest book, "Commander in Chic". There were many other supporters in attendance such as actor and oldest brother Kwame Boateng, Africa’s favorite jewelry designer to the stars Monalisa Okojie of ‘Nehita" jewelry, Riaz Patel, Aimee Carpenter, Leslee Feldman and Tamara Houston. The event offered a boutique, hair salon, along with several other services to aid women in need of help with the restoration of their self esteem, in addition to providing assistance by helping them to build confidence with employment pursuits. 10% of all sales from the total purchases at Bloomingdale’s went to aid Jenessee Center Inc.

The young philanthropists are no strangers to humanitarian causes; The Leukemia Project Foundation (Ghana) is a foundation that the brothers are celebrity youth ambassadors for, alongside Oswald Boateng, Reggie Rockstone, D Black, Ama k. Abebrese and more. The brothers are committed to bringing awareness, and to help in the education for the risk prevention as well as the care and cure of Ghanaians living with leukemia, lymphoma and other related blood disorders. These three brothers are making huge strides in the entertainment industry and have no plans to slow down individually nor as a whole. 2012 already holds great promise for all of them so keep your eyes on tinsel town's hottest trio, whose hearts may be the only thing bigger than their amazing talents!
