2011 US Open and US Open Series: Airing LIVE on ESPN beginning August is full coverage of the season’s final Grand Slam, the US Open. Last year’s event saw Spain’s Rafael Nadal defeat Serbia’s Novak Djokovic to notch a career Grand Slam and finish 2010 with his name on three of the four Grand Slam trophies, with only Swiss star Roger Federer’s win in the Australian Open marring his perfect record.This year could well feature a rematch in the final, only now it is Djokovic in the driver’s seat.

Leading up to the start of the US Open is coverage on ESPN from the Olympus US Open Series, a hotly-contested summer circuit of tournaments that top-ranked players use to sharpen their skills in anticipation of the US Open. Featured this month are matches from the Farmers Classic in Los Angeles.
