Panic Over Actress Martha Ankomah

Ghanaian actress Martha Ankomah is noted for having the type of body that causes panic among her male fans who argue about her vital statistics.

This time around, reports say she is causing panic among her pals in the movie industry following her enviable display in an upcoming movie titled ‘Bed of Roses.

The actress, who is known for her seductive style of acting, has shown a style different from her stereotype personal in the movie after she also played the role of a moron, known in Ghanaian local parlance as ‘jimijimi’.

A lot of actresses reportedly rejected the role earlier on, but Martha is getting a lot of praises from them (actresses) for making the decision to play the role. She plays an accident victim who broke her spinal cord and has to talk with saliva flowing from her twisted mouth. The other actresses rejected the role because they did not like the idea of the drooling part.

“It is nauseating watching her at point but she was amazing. I didn’t believe that Martha could do that,” one of the actresses who wanted to remain anonymous told News-one.

The new movie is by Michael Odika production and directed by Pascal Amanfo. Currently, it is being described as one of the best movies to come from the stables of the production house this year.

The movie delves into human’s different idealistic understanding of life. It portrays life as a mysterious road of twists and turns, which the driver (human) only imagines what is ahead.

It tells an intriguing story of Zina, played by sexy actress Martha Ankomah, who thinks that life is a game in which one can only survive it by playing it well. But she forgets that in a game where there are opponents, you don’t take chances.

Zina is having secret love affairs with Andrew (John Dumelo) her sister, Ella (Yvonne Okoro)’s husband. She fakes a pregnancy and demanded that her sister be kicked out of the marriage. She forces Andrew into getting Ella file for divorce. Ella diverges and rather prefers to save her marriage by dealing with the callous woman who is destroying her marriage. There the intrigue starts as she seeks the help of her sister, Zina, to search for that woman.

The rest of the tale is how Zina tries to help her sister expose herself to the extent that Zina ends up in a wheelchair.

It features other notable faces as Majid Michel, Adjetey Annang aka Pusher, Joselyn Dumas, Helen Asante and Luckie Lawson.

Martha’s starting performance as a moron was when she played fiancée of Adjetey Annang.

“I have acted several times with Pusher in a series. But this is my first time in a movie with him and my second time we are both in the same production. I have known him since. We attend church together,” she told news-one on Monday about Pusher.

It is expected to hit the big screens from June 3 at the National Theatre and subsequently the Silverbird cinema.

In that same month, it will be premiered in USA, UK and Nigeria.

Producer Michael Odika hoped the movie would cause a stir this year.

“This movie is different from my other movies in totality. From the cast to the equipment we use and the crew. This is the first movie I am doing without my brother and I tried to do my best. I think I used the best cast in Ghana. We expect a mind-blowing outcome. We want a good response. I am not blowing my own trumpet; I think it is a good movie,” he told News-One yesterday.
