Ghanaian actress and media personality Joselyn Dumas has shared details about her close relationship with rapper Sarkodie, revealing that despite their playful disagreements, they have remained close friends for years.

Speaking in an interview with MC Portfolio, Joselyn described Sarkodie as someone she has known since the early days of his career, recalling that he gave her one of the strongest interviews during her time hosting Rhythms.

“I love Sarkodie, I love Stonebwoy, I love Shatta. Sarkodie and I go way back because he gave me one of my best interviews when I was doing Rhythms a long time ago. At the time, he had come as the fastest-growing rapper in Ghana, so the two of us came together; he gave me one of my strongest interviews on Rhythms, and since then we have been family,” she said.

While stressing that she has a special relationship with all three artistes, Joselyn said she is particularly close to Sarkodie, adding that their friendship is built on playful banter.

“Sarkodie and I, the love is deep. I love him, and he knows that. We are always fighting. He says I like fighting, and I’ll be like, ‘We are not talking. When I called you, you didn’t pick up my calls.’ That’s the kind of relationship we have,” she said

The actress also disclosed that she once visited Sarkodie’s home, where he prepared jollof rice for her, describing him as someone who enjoys cooking the popular dish.

“Me too, I went to his house to eat jollof. That jollof was a long time ago. Sarkodie really does know how to cook jollof. He loves jollof,” she revealed.

When asked whether she would be attending Sarkodie’s upcoming O2 Arena concert, Joselyn jokingly appealed to the rapper through the interviewer.

“Tell him to call me. Tell him to pick my calls, but don’t put yourself in our fight,” she added

After the interviewer pressed Joselyn on her claim that Sarkodie ignores her calls, she laughed and responded: “He doesn’t, so I also don’t pick his.”

When the interviewer added, “Energy for energy,” she replied, “Aura for aura.”

Beyond Sarkodie, Joselyn also praised Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale, describing both artistes as supportive and family.

She noted that she occasionally advises Shatta Wale whenever she feels he should stay away from controversy and commended Stonebwoy for always showing support without being asked.

She concluded by saying all three musicians are Ghana’s exports to the world and he loves
