Media personality Ola Micheal has weighed in on the viral encounter between Florence Obinim and actress Benedicta Gaffah, insisting there is currently no bad blood between the two women despite widespread speculation on social media.
Speaking on Neat FM, Ola Micheal said Benedicta Gaffah, Obinim’s alleged former side chick, was not deliberately avoiding Florence during the recent event they met.
He explained, “Gaffah was trying to act as if she didn’t see Florence, but Florence decided to be the big woman in the room,” he said.
Ola Micheal also dismissed claims that Gaffah wiped off Florence’s touch after Florence gently tapped her cheek while walking past.
“Gaffah wasn’t trying to wipe away the touch; she was only fixing her makeup. Why are you people always trying to create enmity amongst people?” he stated.
Explaining what he believed Florence’s gesture meant, the broadcaster suggested Florence was signalling that whatever misunderstanding may have existed between them over the man they were once linked to should be left in the past.
“What Florence wanted to say was that the person who came between the two of them didn’t even turn out any better. We are now divorced, so let’s forget about him and move on with our lives,” he said.
Ola Micheal further claimed Benedicta Gaffah had long moved on from her alleged past relationship with Bishop Daniel Obinim, adding that she has no interest in rekindling anything with him.
“Even Gaffah has forgotten about that man over 10 years ago. As we speak, Gaffah is out of Obinim’s league. Obinim wishes he had Gaffah, but he can’t. Right now, Obinim would need about $2 million before Gaffah looks his way after the humiliation he put her through. She has really regretted dating Obinim,” he alleged.
The comments follow the circulation of videos from the event showing Benedicta Gaffah turning away after noticing Florence approaching while dancing.
In another clip, Florence briefly stopped near the actress before later touching her cheek as she walked past.
The interaction sparked mixed reactions online, with some social media users claiming Gaffah wiped off Florence’s touch, while others argued she was simply adjusting her makeup.
