Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has publicly called on streamer Carter Efe to apologise to Ghanaian dancehall artiste Stonebwoy over the derogatory remarks he made during his recent visit to Ghana.

A video circulating on social media captured Davido on a video call with Carter Efe, expressing disappointment over the streamer’s comments about Stonebwoy.

“Listen, that Stonebwoy comment, we need to talk about it. I don’t like it. You need to apologise,” Davido told Carter Efe.

Responding to the request, Carter Efe admitted he was wrong and promised to make amends.

“I will apologize. I will kneel down in Morocco and apologize. I will kneel down in Morocco and beg him,” he replied.

Carter Efe made the pledge while preparing to travel to Morocco after receiving an invitation from Davido.

The apology follows backlash over comments Carter Efe made during his recent visit to Ghana.

During a livestream, Carter Efe argued that he should be compared to Stonebwoy and not Shatta Wale because, according to him, Shatta Wale is “the biggest,” implying that Stonebwoy isn’t bigger than him.

He also mocked Stonebwoy’s leg condition and claimed that Ghanaian streamer Made in Ghana gave him that information.

The remarks sparked widespread criticism, with many netizens describing them as disrespectful towards the globally acclaimed Ghanaian artiste.

Beyond music, Davido and Stonebwoy have maintained a close friendship over the years, with both artistes repeatedly describing each other as brothers in interviews and public appearances.

Davido also shares a cordial relationship with Carter Efe and has appeared on several of the Nigerian streamer’s livestreams, making his public call for an apology one that has attracted significant attention from fans.
