Nigerian streamer Carter Efe has come under intense backlash after videos of him making comments perceived as disrespectful towards Ghanaian dancehall artiste Stonebwoy during a livestream with Ghanaian content creator Made in Ghana surfaced online.
The videos, which have dominated conversations on social media over the past few days, have drawn widespread criticism from many Ghanaians, with some accusing both Carter Efe and Made in Ghana of disrespecting the award-winning musician while the Nigerian streamer was being hosted in Ghana.
Carter Efe arrived in Ghana on Sunday, November 1, 2026, and was taken on a tour of various parts of Accra by Made in Ghana while livestreaming the experience.
During one of the livestreams, a debate started after Made in Ghana compared the Nigerian internet personality to Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale.

Rejecting the comparison, Carter Efe responded in pidgin mixed with English: “You dey compare me with Shatta Wale, the biggest of all Ghana, you’re not ashamed? You suppose compare me to Stonebwoy. You dey disrespect Shatta Wale. You be mumu.”
Made in Ghana remained silent throughout the exchange, a reaction that has since fuelled criticism from social media users who believe he should have instantly addressed the comment.
The controversy escalated in another viral clip when Carter Efe claimed Made in Ghana had privately shared several things about Stonebwoy with him, including claims that the dancehall artiste has a disabled leg.
His claims immediately sparked a confrontation, with members of Made in Ghana’s team physically holding him and demanding that he retract the statement.
“Tell them say you dey lie. When you finish you dey go your country, you dey spoil relationship for am. Do you know wetin you dey do?” one member of the team stated in pidgin while addressing Carter Efe.
However, the Nigerian streamer refused to back down.
“I don’t know wetin I dey do. Na he tell me now. If I dey lie make my mama die,” he insisted.
At a point, Carter Efe admitted that all the things he said about Stonebwoy were masterminded by Made in Ghana.
He even questioned Made in Ghana about his constant criticism of Stonebwoy, adding that he never says anything good about him.
Despite attempts by Made in Ghana’s team to get him to withdraw the allegation, Carter Efe walked away from the gathering while insisting that everything he had said was what Made in Ghana allegedly told him.
The videos have continued to circulate online, triggering heated debate, with many Ghanaians expressing disappointment over the comments and questioning Made in Ghana’s role in the controversy.
Fans and industry stakeholders have also criticised what they consider disrespect towards an established Ghanaian artiste by a Nigerian visitor, arguing that Ghanaians would not be afforded the same latitude to behave similarly while in Nigeria.
Moment Carterefe got into a heated f!ght with Made in Ghana and some other Ghanaians after revealing that Made in Ghana had told him so many bad things about Stonebwoy. This happened after Made in Ghana showed Taylor Jasmine a video of Carterefe flirting with other women. They then tried to force Carterefe to admit that everything he had said about Made in Ghana was a lie, but Carterefe refused and angrily walked away. 😳👀🙆🏽♂️
