Reagan Mends, the former manager of the late Ghanaian hiplife artiste Terry Bonchaka, has recounted an incident that happened between the deceased artiste and musician-turned-pastor Lord Kenya.
In an interview on Class FM on October 30, 2026, Reagan Mends noted that the circumstances surrounding Terry Bonchaka’s death were somehow predictable.
Recounting what happened before the musician’s sudden death, Reagan shared how they had experienced a series of accidents and signs that indicated that the musician’s life was in danger.
He explained that the first such incident happened when they were travelling to a show in Kumasi, where they experienced about four flat tyres on their way to the concert, something he described as unusual.
“We were going for a show in Kumasi. At that time, it was Jerry, Terry’s brother, who was driving us, and we were using Terry’s late father’s car, which was an Opel Astra. We left Accra around 4 pm. We wanted to use the Cape Coast-Yamoransa-Obuasi route to get to KNUST. When we got onto the Yamoransa route, our tyre deflated for the first time.
We changed the tyre, and after 30 minutes, we had another flat tyre. Then we drove for about an hour and had another flat tyre, making it the fourth time. So by that time, we were late. When we got to the Bantama roundabout, the speed was so high that we were not able to see the roundabout. So we had to just run into it. At that time, I was sitting in front, and what saved me was my seat belt,” he said.
Reagan further shared how a pastor also ran into their already damaged vehicle at the roundabout, adding that on their way back to Accra, they experienced a similar incident while travelling in a commercial vehicle.
“So we left the car, not knowing that there was this pastor from an all-night service. He was going home. He also ran into our car, the damaged car. We took a commercial car. Do you know that on our way back to Accra, we had another four flat tyres before we got to Accra?”
While narrating the prophecy Terry Bonchaka allegedly received from Lord Kenya before his death, Reagan noted that the musician-turned-pastor once advised Terry to seek spiritual protection because his life was in danger.
According to Reagan, Lord Kenya explicitly warned Terry that if he failed to seek spiritual protection, some individuals could make efforts to cut short his life and career.
“Like there was a show in Kumasi, and we went to Lord Kenya’s house. Lord Kenya sat us down and advised us that where we were then, people would try to kill him. You are the main artiste in Ghana. So if you don’t protect yourself, they will kill you,” he added.
