‘Rather pay for sex than rape’ – Kumchacha tells men

Prophet Kumchacha has condemned rape, describing the act as foolish and unacceptable.

He has urged men who desire sex to seek consensual relationships instead of forcing themselves on women.

Speaking during a discussion on UTV’s United Showbiz on October 25, 2026, the preacher mentioned that it is better for men to seek the services of sex workers than to assault women sexually.

“For you to rape someone, it’s better to pay prostitutes and have sex with them. There are a lot of prostitutes standing at the roadside and in some spots you will find them selling their bodies. If you’re a man and you desire to have sex, go to Lapaz or Circle,” he said.

Kumchacha claimed that the prices charged by some sex workers had reduced significantly, adding that there is no justification for a man to rape a woman or a child.

“Now they’ve even reduced their prices. At first, they used to charge GH₵500, but now they’ve reduced it to GH₵40. It’s very foolish and insane for a man to rape a child or woman,” he stated.

The preacher also expressed anger over cases of sexual abuse involving teachers and schoolchildren, saying he would take drastic action if anyone attempted to sexually assault his child.

“I personally, if I take my child to school and a teacher tries to have his way with her, I will shoot him if I have a gun and I will gladly go to prison,” he noted.

Kumchacha further condemned men who use their physical strength to force themselves on women who have no interest in them.

He said it was particularly disturbing when perpetrators overpowered their victims and used force to prevent them from resisting or breathing properly.

“One thing that hurts the most is a man forcefully trying to have his way with a woman who doesn’t like him. Because he is stronger than her, he would forcefully do it and even prevent her from breathing well by putting something in her mouth,” he added.
