Award-winning Ghanaian artiste King Promise releases “Melody,” his first solo single of 2026, marking a new chapter in a year that has seen him collaborate with some of the continent’s biggest names.

The single is available now on all major streaming platforms.

“Melody” is an unapologetically romantic ode to a woman’s beauty and sensuality, a celebration of just how sweet she is, delivered in King Promise’s signature smooth style.

Born Gregory Bortey Newman, King Promise has established himself as one of Ghana’s most influential voices in contemporary Afrobeats and Highlife, most recently with the joint release “See What We’ve Done” alongside Mr Eazi, which went on to become the number one album in Ghana.

His records, including “That Way” and “Mariana,” have also received heavy airplay across the country’s airwaves.

“Melody” follows the joint release of “See What We’ve Done” by King Promise and Mr Eazi and sets the stage for Promiseland 2026, with details to be announced shortly.

King Promise is a Ghanaian singer and songwriter whose blend of Afrobeats, Highlife, and R&B has earned him a global audience.

Beyond music, he is the founder of Rent Paid, a movement encouraging people to “pay rent” to their bodies through exercise, community and culture, with proceeds supporting the Nungua Orphanage in his hometown.
