Dancehall musician Shatta Wale has donated GH¢20,000 to the family of a police officer who died in an accident while travelling to provide security at ShattaFest 2026 in Accra.
The musician sent members of his team to visit the family of the late Officer Prince Adu and offer financial support to help care for his children.
The delegation, which included Ralph De Fellow, Ghanaian, Long Jon, Jerome Nii Kpakpo Acquaye and Larbiano, presented an envelope containing GH¢20,000 to the bereaved family.
The money is expected to help meet some of the needs of the officer’s surviving children following the loss of their father.

Shatta Wale has also promised to provide further assistance to the family, indicating that his support will go beyond the initial donation.
The gesture comes after the officer died in an accident while he was on his way to carry out his security duties during the ShattaFest event.
The donation is expected to provide some relief to the grieving family as they adjust to life without their loved one, particularly as they work to meet the needs of the children he left behind.
