Kumawood actor Oteele has disclosed that he compensated his wife, Gifty Nana Afriyie, with a Toyota RAV4 after his leaked intimate video with another woman circulated online.

Speaking to media personality Nayaas, Oteele explained that his wife left their matrimonial home after the video went viral, as she had made up her mind to end their marriage.

However, he said he had to seek the help of some elderly people to speak to his wife on his behalf and persuade her to reconsider her decision.

According to the actor, his wife eventually forgave him after the elderly people intervened and she reflected on how far they had come in their marriage.

“When the incident happened, she left our matrimonial home because, for her, she had made up her mind to leave the marriage. So, I had to approach elderly people to speak to her on my behalf. They did, and she also realised that we had come a long way in this marriage. She accepted that it was a mistake and forgave me,” he explained.

Oteele further disclosed that he had two cars at the time, a Toyota Voxy and a 2014 Toyota RAV4. He said he decided to compensate his wife with the RAV4 after she forgave him.

“I had two cars, a Voxy and a 2014 Toyota RAV4, so I compensated her with the RAV4,” he said.

Meanwhile, Oteele’s wife, Gifty Afriyie, has also spoken about the pain she experienced after discovering her husband’s intimate video with another woman on the internet.

She explained that it was difficult to come to terms with the incident, especially considering the struggles they had endured together throughout their marriage.

According to her, they had gone through difficult times, including sleeping outside together and relying on friends for accommodation.

She said these experiences made the incident even more painful, given everything they had been through as a couple.

Despite the pain and disappointment, Gifty said she had decided to let go of what happened and move on with their marriage.

However, she admitted that her reaction could have been different if she had continued living with Oteele after the incident and he had failed to show remorse for his actions.

She suggested that if her husband had continued living with her without showing any regret, she might have been driven to poison him to death.
