‘Stop discussing your marital issues publicly’ – Ogyaba tells Obinim

Ogyaba urges Obinim and Florence to protect their children from their marital dispute Ogyaba urges Obinim and Florence to protect their children from their marital dispute

Prophet Ogyaba has advised Bishop Daniel Obinim to stop discussing his marital problems publicly following his recent comments about his estranged wife, Florence.

In a video circulating on social media, Ogyaba reacted to comments Bishop Obinim made during a church service on October 13, 2026, about his wife, sharing details of their marital problems publicly.

During his remarks, Obinim mentioned Ogyaba in connection with the their ongoing marital dispute, prompting the latter to respond.

Ogyaba recalled that when allegations of infidelity against him became a topic of discussion on social media, Obinim advised him to remain silent rather than speak publicly about his marital problems.

He believes the same advice should apply to Obinim, urging him to keep his marital issues private instead of discussing them with church members.

“When my marital issue came up, you advised me not to speak publicly about it. So, if possible, you should also stop discussing your marital issues publicly. The members you constantly share your marital problems with could influence you to do something, only to turn around later and condemn you to others if you are not careful,” Ogyaba stated.

‘Enough of the irrelevant preaching’ - Ogyaba drags Obinim

He cautioned Obinim against discussing sensitive family matters with members of his congregation, explaining that their influence could lead him to make decisions he might later regret.

Ogyaba also indicated that Obinim had misunderstood his position and stressed that he did not want to be drawn into the marital disagreement between the preacher and his wife.

Ogyaba appealed to both the pastor and Florence to consider how their public disagreement could affect their children.

He urged the couple to put their differences aside and avoid actions that could damage the children's relationship with either parent.

According to him, the couple should remember the good they have done for each other throughout their more than two decades of marriage and work towards resolving their differences peacefully.

“For the sake of the children, let the issue rest. Whether you like it or not, after more than 20 years of marriage, there must have been good things she did for you, just as you did for her. Do not turn the children against their mother and encourage them to come and live with you. You are a spiritual person, and if the children do not have a mother’s love, it could become a curse that follows them,” Ogyaba added.
