Renowned Nollywood actor and musician Harry B Anyanwu has praised President John Dramani Mahama as the finest head of state on the African continent.
The veteran Nigerian actor made the remarks while on location filming A Journey to Africa, an ambitious cross-border movie production led by Kumawood star Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin.
The comments coincided with Harry B's 67th birthday celebration on set, where LilWin surprised the Nollywood star with stacks of US dollar bills amidst cheers from the cast and crew.
Expressing admiration for the country's governance and hospitality, the Nigerian film star urged other African leaders to take a cue from the Ghanaian president.
"Ghana, your president is the best in Africa, Mahama is the best in Africa. He’s doing what other presidents are supposed to do. Let them copy him. The man is too much!" Harry B declared.
The endorsement came after LilWin revealed to the cast that he had originally planned a courtesy visit to the Jubilee House for the Nigerian stars to meet President Mahama, though filming logistics in Nzulezu necessitated rescheduling the meeting for the film's official Accra premiere.
The production, which has brought a host of top-tier Nollywood stars—including Patience Ozokwor, Kanayo O. Kanayo, Mike Ezuruonye, and Zubby Michael—to Ghana, highlights the growing influence of the Ghanaian film industry in bridging cultural ties across West Africa.
