Kofi Donkor, husband of Ghanaian gospel musician Celestine Donkor, has weighed in on the ongoing domestic violence scandal involving Nana Akua Addo and her husband, seizing the situation to urge men to reflect on what being a man truly means.
Speaking in a video shared on social media, Kofi Donkor said he had been angered by the recent events, stating that the actions of one man had led to all men being criticised and “taking stray bullets.”
“Master, let’s talk. This is man to man. Between yesterday and today, if you have been following me, you know I have been very angry because a certain man has done what is not right, something very disgusting, and all men are taking stray bullets for it. We are being insulted,” he said.

He went on to describe what he believes defines a real man.
“A real man is the one who provides for his family. He leads his family with dignity and respect. A real man stands behind his woman and gets the best out of his woman and does not suppress his woman. A real man is the man who shares his momo PIN code with his woman. A real man is the man who gives to his woman, making sure his woman lacks nothing,” he stated.
Kofi Donkor also condemned men who father children with multiple women without accepting responsibility, describing such behaviour in harsh terms.
“A real man does not go around sleeping with other women, making babies left, right and centre without taking responsibility. Master, if you do that, you’re a goat, you’re no different from a dog. No real man does that. Real men secure the future of their children,” he added.
He further urged men to reject domestic violence, insisting that abuse is not a display of masculinity but a sign of “foolishness and stupidity.”
“Brother, don’t be a violent man. Be a man of peace, a man of love. Domestic violence is not a sign of strength; it’s a sign of foolishness and stupidity. Be a real man. Say, ‘Yes, I am a real man,’” he concluded.
His remarks come amid public discussions surrounding the alleged marital issues involving Nana Akua Addo and her husband, which have sparked widespread reactions on social media.
