Ghanaian vlogger Wode Maya has shared his thoughts on what he believes is one of the issues affecting Ghana’s development, especially within the media space.

In a video shared on X and sighted by GhanaWeb on September 29, 2026, Wode Maya expressed concern about the way politicians are celebrated for what he described as minimal achievements.

He explained that the new media also plays a major role in these problems, adding that bloggers are always giving politicians a platform to showcase every little thing they do.

He added that the tendency to glorify politicians for ordinary tasks does little to drive meaningful development.

“Everyone is following politicians, and I can't believe that they have to call a blogger to showcase what he is doing. And I think we are not getting out of the trenches anytime soon,” he said.

The video has triggered massive reactions online, with some netizens supporting the vlogger’s views.
