Ghanaian musician Black Sherif has revealed that physical appearance is not the determining factor when it comes to choosing a romantic partner, stressing that meaningful conversations matter more to him than looks.
Speaking in an interview with MX24 TV, the award-winning artiste explained that while he appreciates beauty, he believes genuine connection is built through communication rather than first impressions.
“My type is not in the physicals. My type no dey the physicals. It’s almost when I see you, I dey see you, you know. Plus I for speak before I know. I no just dey judge from my eyes,” he said.

Black Sherif noted that although people encounter attractive individuals every day, beauty alone is not enough to sustain his interest.
“We see so many beautiful girls, we see a lot of people, you understand me, but I need to have a conversation. I need to have a conversation,” he stated.
Offering advice to others, the Iron Boy hitmaker said attraction should go beyond appearances, insisting that compatibility is rooted in how two people connect through conversation.
“There are some… listen, it no be every… you fit see some sweet one right, no matter how sweet it be, if me den your conversation no enter, e no dey go anywhere,” he said.
According to Black Sherif, beauty exists in many forms and should not be the sole basis for choosing a partner.
“The beauty dey everywhere. Beauty is in everything, it’s in the trees, it’s everywhere,” he added.
