Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has expressed his readiness to accept an offer to become the running mate of politician Kennedy Agyapong if the opportunity arises.

Speaking during a TikTok Live session, Shatta Wale said he would consider joining Kennedy Agyapong in his presidential ambition, noting that he believes he has ideas and qualities that could help address certain challenges facing Ghana’s youth.

“If Kennedy Agyapong calls me to be his running mate, it’s a good thing,” he said.

Shatta Wale explained that he is uncertain whether political leaders recognise the qualities young people see in him, but maintained that he is willing to contribute to governance if given the opportunity.

“I wonder if they see the qualities that you, the youth, see in me. I feel like we are in a world where the youth are seeing what they want, and the people who can lead them,” Shatta Wale added.

He also said any political party willing to involve him would benefit from his ideas on youth empowerment and development.

“Any political party that calls me to help them so they can see how to manage the youth, I have ideas to give them,” he stated.

Shatta Wale further revealed that he has previously engaged with politicians about his ideas and believes he can play a role in creating policies aimed at empowering young people.
